Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a mobility and posture disorder that affects people of all ages. It is a life-long condition that does not often deteriorate over time.

CP is caused by a brain damage that occurs during pregnancy or shortly after delivery. Palsy refers to a loss of muscular control. Cerebral means "of the brain." It's an umbrella word for a collection of diseases that impact a person's capacity to move.
